Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAIIHLAD and Fraunhofer SCAI partner to advance precision medicine in the UAE
In a significant move towards advancing AI and data analytics in healthcare, the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi and the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI in Germany have announced a collaboration on AI-based precision medicine and data analytics. The partnership will leverage population health research on new data classes, clinical care, and evidence-based healthy longevity medicine.
SANKT AUGUSTIN – Fraunhofer SCAI, internationally renowned for its applied research, will bring its expertise in translational biomedical informatics to the table. The Department of Bioinformatics at Fraunhofer SCAI is a global leader in this field, covering a broad spectrum of expertise from high-performance computing to advanced analytics and applied artificial intelligence. Key partners of the Department of Bioinformatics include major international pharmaceutical companies.
Among the key areas of focus for this collaboration are:
- AI Platform: Building and implementing a platform to integrate multi-dimensional data and enhance patient insights with the help of bioinformatics approaches (AI, ML).
- Clinical Trial Design: Planning and structuring clinical trials based on advanced analytics and real-world data.
- Healthy Longevity Data Analysis: Exploring data to uncover factors that contribute to longer, healthier lives and improved health outcomes.
